Five Reasons to Sign UP and Take Part in the Ladies' Retreat:

1.       To Escape the Daily Grind - We have many conveniences but it takes concentrated effort to create times of quiet. God's Word reminds us to be still, to be quiet, and to rest completely in God. Isaiah 26:3 tells us that God will keep us in perfect peace when our minds stay focused on Him. The Palmist encourages us to wait for God in silence (Psalm 62:14)

2.         Focused Time with God - Jesus Himself is our number one model of going on "retreats". He often withdrew for time alone with God to pray. If Jesus, the perfect God-man, required times of retreat in which to connect meaningfully with God, certainly we, as mere humans, require the same time.

3        Time to Evaluate Our Lives - We are easily and quickly confused about the true purpose of our lives from God's perspective. When stress rises, retreat and wrap yourself in the powerful words of Psalm 73:25-26.

4        Deepen Our Bond as Believers - Lasting friendships are built on shared time and shared interest. Special bonds are built as we pray, study, sing, and play together

5.        Model Christ's Love - We have all sung "They will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, yes, they''ll know we Christians by our love." This is the heartbeat behind our Fourth Annual Ladies Retreat.

Cost; $40 - non-refundable - Deadline for Reservations and Payment is May 1

Biography

My story begins, not too different from many other people. I was saved at age five because I didn't want to go to Hell. It wasn't until I went to Camp Harlow at age twelve that I realized how desperately I needed a Savior, not just fire insurance. Since that time it has been an on-going growing relationship.

I wish that growing up in a Christian home was not looked at as a hum-drum testimony. The fact that you do grow up in a Christian home or become a Christian later in life doesn't mean that you are immune to problems or trial with God.

I have had many circumstances in my life that have helped mold my faith. My parents are divorced, my Dad was a double amputee, my step mom died of diabetes, my step Dad died of brain cancer, my first born son was diagnosed with Autism, and extreme weight gain and then gastric bypass. After losing the weight, I opened a fitness franchise and became the leading developer in the nation for our franchise, all while a husband and three kids tried to keep up with me. One thing is for sure, I never would have made it through without a loving Savior to lean on.

My approach is simple. You can laugh or cry, or do both at the same time. But in the end I will trust God to mold me into the woman He wants me to be. My job is to share with women my experiences and teach you how to be more than your circumstances. Humor has always a big part of my life. I believe God has given me a unique outlook on everyday life situations. I like to laugh and I use humor to get the message across. God is sufficient! God wants us to live life abundantly and never stop talking about it.
